Preauthorisation of overseas hospitalisation
- The same documents are needed for overseas preauthorisation as they are for domestic hospitalisation.
- In the event that your request concerns pre-approval for treatment abroad, the Company activates the process of Coverage of Treatment Expenses Abroad, through the Coordination Center (if the insured wishes) and most of the supporting documents are submitted through the hospital.
- Automatic repayment can also be activated in cases approved by the Company.
Reporting of hospitalisation abroad
- For an incident outside Greece, the documents needed must be certified by the consulate in the country that you are in, and must be translated by a proficient authority or an authorised translation center.
